How many acres does it take for 4500MW installed wind capacity?

The wind generation is visible in the GREEN line at the bottom. Where, you ask, is the green line? Good question, as it is barely there.  To that, Ohio says BRRRRRR……

BPA, which transmits and sells wholesale electricity in eight western states (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Nevada, and California) barely registered any wind power generation in the week beginning Jan 20, 2014 to January 27, 2014. Look for the green line along the bottom of the graph. BPA has 4,515 MWs of installed windenergy. BPA balances the ups and downs of wind energy primarily with hydropower generated at federal dams resulting in no net reduction of carbon emissions.
