BigWind takes a chess piece from opposition in Indian Lake, Ohio

The group, Logan Hardin Neighbors United, has settled with Everpower. As a result, Everpower will reduce the number of wind turbines surrounding Indian Lake and, therefore, increase the turbine ‘setbacks’ to approximately 3.5 miles from the lake.  Although this is a disappointment, Everpower still needs to acquire a Payment in Lieu of Taxes from the county commissioners and it needs to find a buyer for the useless, expensive energy that it will produce.  Many individuals in the area have been educated about the risks associated with industrial wind turbines.  It is now time for different people to ‘step up to the plate’ and help area residents.
